PSA is the sweet spot for 90% of industrial applications. If you need <99.999% purity and <5,000 Nm³/h, PSA is the most cost-effective choice.

How PSA Nitrogen Generation Works

1. Compression: Ambient air is compressed to 0.8–1.0 MPa by an oil-free air compressor.

2. Pre-treatment: Compressed air passes through filters and a refrigerated dryer to remove oil, water, and dust — protecting the molecular sieve.

3. Separation: Clean dry air enters twin adsorption towers filled with Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS). CMS preferentially adsorbs O₂ under pressure, allowing N₂ to pass through.

4. Regeneration: While one tower produces N₂, the other depressurizes to release captured oxygen — ready for the next cycle.

5. Buffering: N₂ is stored in a buffer tank for consistent pressure and flow to your process.
